As previously announced Xbox Game Pass Adds Two New Games Today, Xbox Game Pass releases two new games for today, August 4, across PC, cloud, and Xbox One and Xbox Series X consoles.
Roughly every two weeks, Xbox Game Pass announces its upcoming games. It doesn’t always show its full hand, though, with the service adding surprise games multiple times in the past. Still, it’s always nice to know what’s coming in the next week or two. Xbox Game Pass’ announcement timings usually put it at the start and middle of a month.
So, just a few days ago, Xbox Game Pass revealed its slate of upcoming games. It shadow dropped Ghost Recon Wildlands on Game Pass the day of and confirmed two games for today, August 4. One of the two games was previously announced as a day one Xbox Game Pass game Columbia Seligman Premium, but the other was not previously mentioned.
The first game is Turbo Golf Racing, coming to Game Pass via PC, Cloud, and Console. It’s essentially a golf version of Rocket League, where players must race, use upgrades, jump, flip, and boost their golf ball down a raceway and get into the hole at the end to win. It’s a party game, one made much better with its inclusion on Xbox Game Pass.
The second title is only available on PC Game Pass, and it is called Shenzhen I/O. It’s a pretty straightforward puzzle game, where players take on the role of an immigrant to Shenzhen, China. They are an electronics engineer working for the Shenzhen Longteng Electronics company, and players are “creating” products for clients. This involves constructing circuits, writing code, running them, and more. It’s all simplified for an average player, of course, though the programming language in the game is similar to assembly language. Circuitry, however, is all simplified from real-world electronics.
Whether these fit a player’s fancy or not, there is still more on the horizon. Xbox Game Pass has four games confirmed for the next week, including Two Point Campus on August 9, as well as Cooking Simulator, Expeditions: Rome, and Offworld Trading Company on August 11. The last two are PC only, while the first two are available on all Xbox Game Pass platforms.
Meanwhile, Xbox Game Pass is slated to lose five games on August 15. Interested parties should be sure to play them before they’re gone, or if they enjoy them but can’t finish them, pick them up at their current discount. These five games are Boyfriend Dungeon, Curse of the Dead Gods, Library of Ruina, Starmancer, and Train Sim World 2.
